Positions at Blue Sky

Our team is made up of dedicated, loving professionals who are continuously training to provide for your child to the best of their ability. We aim to ensure each member of our team has a full enhanced DBS, safe guarding and first aid certificates meaning you can be secure in the knowledge that your child is in a safe, as well as loving, environment.

Here at Blue Sky our team is made up of Nursery Nurses and Apprentices who all have, or are working towards, their Level 3 in childcare. We provide continued training to make sure our team is kept up to date with important information needed to safeguard your children to the best of their ability.

Positions at Blue Sky

Administration

Over seeing Blue Sky Day Nursery is our brilliant Administration team, who work across all our setting.

Our Business Owner and Area Manager, who lead the management team and handling the running of company matters. Assisting them is the Creative Director.

Our Handyman is on hand to assist all our setting as soon as requested, helping to keep all our settings comfortable and running safely.

Management

Each Blue Sky Day Nursery setting has a amazing Management team, consisting of a Manager and their Deputy.

Each Manager leads their setting, ensuring that the everyday admin tasks of nursery life are completed. They are in charge of recruitment and funding, assisting the team and parents alike.

Assisting them is the Deputy Manager who takes on tasks and runs the office in the Managers absence.

Room Leaders

All of our rooms are lead by a dedicated Room Leader. They work with their team to plan fun topics and activates for the children.

Each Room Leader is in-charge of the rooms layout, setting the routine and assisting their team in working to their best.

Room leaders are all qualified with at least a Level 3 in childcare and are always happy to help both parents and their team with all the children in their room.

Nursery Nurses

Here at Blue Sky our team includes Nursery Nurses who are trained and qualified to look after our children.

Our Nursery Nurses are Certified with at least a Level 3. They are encouraged and given opportunities to get further qualifications.

At Blue Sky our team are given opportunity to work in every room, which lets them form opinions on what their strengths are and get a feel of where they would best fit.

Apprentices

Those that are Apprenticing with Blue Sky are working towards their level 3 in childcare, with the support of our chosen training company and the rest of our fabulous team.

The Apprentices are a mix of new starters and those seeking to further their qualifications.

Our Apprentices are assisted by management to ensure any accommodations or equipment they need is accounted for and provided.

Nursery Assistants

Our Nursery Assistants are a mix of qualified members of staff, who have a Level 1 or 2 qualification in Childcare, and unqualified members of staff.

Each Nursery Assistant is advised and encouraged to take on a Level 3 qualification with us, so that they can become Level 3 certified Nursery Nurses.

Some of our Nursery Assistants work in multiple rooms, as they are needed. They are appreciated for all of the work they do adapting their work style when this happens.

Culinary Team

Every Blue Sky Setting has a dedicated cook who makes fresh home made meals every day for the Children.

The main role of our cooks is to make healthy meals that follow the eat well plate, while still being enjoyable for the children.

Our Culinary Team are also in charge of stocking their setting with the food that is needed each and every week, ordering and scheduling deliveries.

Full Time Positions

We look for Full Time, enthusiastic nursery practitioners.

We hire qualified and un-qualified staff, for up to 36 hours per week. We provide competitive pay rates, and benefits.

Work Experience

Blue Sky works with Schools, Colleges, and Universities to provide work experience opportunities.

We offer 1 or 2 weeks work experience, with their days and hours organized through your educational setting.

Training Opportunities

At Blue Sky we hold a high standard of care; we aim to provide all our staff with the tools to do this.

We pay for any mandatory training and offer opportunities to expand your childcare qualifications.
